In 1984, two dozen elected officials came together for the first time and estimated there were 50 out LGBTI officials in the whole world. Today hundreds of leaders attend the conference annually, and there are more than 1,000 out officials around the globe.
The International LGBTQ Leaders Conference is a unique three-day experience that brings together more than 600 LGBTQ+ elected officials and leaders from across the United States and world. U.S. senators, state legislators, city council members and other leaders join our corporate partners in strategizing how to move forward equality legislation and other public policies that affect all our communities. The networking, skills-building and policy conversations these LGBTQ+ leaders participate in have a profound effect on where the LGBTQ movement directs its energy next.
